Absent – Mary & Gary
1. Opening Prayer – Hanna
2. Motion to accept current agenda – 1st James, Marilyn 2nd, carried.
3. Financial Issues –
a. Previous Month’s financial data was reviewed
b. Bank GIC’s explained in detail by Don and all to be renewed.
c. Advent Conspiracy Donations – suggested that individuals can make
donations in Sunday Collection. Rosemary to email info to the church
members. (What will the government contribute?) Motion made by
Don and 2nd by Rick.
d. Salvation Army Donation $500 – 1st Marilyn, Michele 2nd.
4. Update on Current Church Projects
a. Transportation from the Golden Plow – James reports that he spoke
with Charlotte Clay Ireland about the availability and costs to pick up
a member once a month. Member has offered to pay the extra
$12.00 to get to our services.
b. Michele to submit info about our Christmas service in Northumberland
Today.
c. Questionnaire – Mary and Hanna to work on it and present it for
discussion at January’s meeting.
5. Business Arising From Past Minutes
a. Don to investigate further re – Director’s Insurance of $500.00. Motion
made by Michele and 2nd by Don.
b. Marilyn to drop off gift cards in the amount of $100 food, and $50 for
gas, plus presents and other food donations to the local family in
need.
6. Pastor’s Report – Michele presented info. in Gary’s absence
a. Baptism in January – we will continue our established tradition of
presenting a prayer shawl.
b. Yonge Street Mission – we will continue to collect monies from the
raffle of the camel tooth necklace and forward the funds.
7. New Issues
a. Rev. Michelle as a speaker – discussed by board and agreed that
more information was needed to make any decision.
b. Family Wellness Day – Christ The Servant community is not
participating.
c. Thank You Note – presented from Roberta for our support in her
ordination.
